Welcome

The newly established Center for Juvenile Justice Reform at Georgetown University's Public Policy Institute is designed to support public agency leaders in the juvenile justice and related systems of care. The Center and its web site seek to complement the good work being done across the country in juvenile justice reform by providing a multi-systems perspective and set of resources in support of this work.

While there has been a tremendous amount of research conducted on the multiple domains of a young person's life that are linked to delinquent behavior and other negative life outcomes, the Center's work will be the first concentrated effort focused strictly on multi-systems work and in support of public agency leaders across those systems of care. We have not attempted to duplicate the valuable resource material you can find by visiting other web sites. Instead we provide links to that information within our web site and have created a resource section within which we have cited to information pertinent to a multi-systems approach to juvenile justice reform -- as well as information on key areas of reform ongoing across the country.

We hope our web site proves beneficial to you and welcome your input as we work to strengthen the field, better support the vulnerable children, youth and families about whom we care so deeply, and create safer and healthier communities.
