Janet Reno Leadership Fund
The Janet Reno Leadership Fund helps to support communities seeking to reform the way they serve at-risk children and youth. The Fund finances training and technical assistance for counties and states striving to reduce negative outcomes for abused, neglected and/or delinquent children and youth.
The Fund achieves this in two primary ways. First, the Fund supports targeted technical assistance to implement CJJR’s Crossover Youth Practice Model (CYPM), which promotes research-based decision-making as a foundation upon which child-serving systems can reform and improve their policies and practices. Second, the Fund provides scholarships for exceptional leaders with financial need to attend CJJR’s well-established Certificate Programs. These periods of study use a multi-systems approach to focus on policies, programs and practices that improve outcomes for young people at risk of entering the juvenile justice system.
