These two blog entries by Jerry Friedman of APHSA describe his take on the corruption scandal that took place in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania in which two judges accepted kickbacks in exchange for placing juvenile offenders in private detention facilities. One of Mr. Friedman's themes is that while the judges are being held accountable, the other players involved or complicit in this scheme are not. It is important that we continue to investigate and learn from this tragedy so that we can ensure that such an injustice does not happen again.
