Join us on June 18th for a webinar entitled “Empowering Youth Voices: Building Partnerships for Sustainable Transformation in the Youth Justice System.”

The voices and perspectives of young people with lived expertise are critical to co-creating a youth justice system that is fair, equitable, and effective. Fostering meaningful collaboration between system professionals and lived experts provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of people’s experiences on the receiving end of system involvement, recognize harms or unintended consequences that young people experience, and work to co-create solutions for a better youth justice system.

In this webinar, we’ll discuss practical and sustainable strategies aimed at creating an authentic and holistic-and not just superficial–approach to engaging youth in the youth justice system. We’ll also address the challenges and barriers that often arise when engaging young people with lived expertise.
