We’re nearing the close of the application window for our Reducing Crossover and Advancing Collaboration Certificate Program on February 21! If you are thinking of applying and have not yet gathered all the materials, that’s not a problem! We’d love to hear from you. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Amber Farn , our Deputy Director of Certificate Programs with any questions, or just to let us know that you are thinking of applying! Below, you can find a session spotlight for that program, to give folks a glimpse of the kind of work participants will engage with.
Effective Information and Data Sharing
Effective information and data sharing are critical for improving outcomes for crossover youth, yet misconceptions and systemic barriers often hinder cross-system collaboration. When agencies fail to share essential information, youth experience service gaps, duplicated efforts, and missed opportunities for early intervention.
Facilitated by the Founder/Director Emeritus of CJJR, Shay Bilchik, and CJJR’s Deputy Director for Research, Dr. Karen Kolivoski, the “Effective Information and Data Sharing: Overcoming Misconceptions and Driving Equity” session will explore legal, policy, and practice-based approaches to cross-system information and data sharing. Facilitators will unpack real-world examples while addressing common challenges and misconceptions. Participants will also examine how data can be used to drive equity and systemic change, making data-sharing a sustainable, accessible practice rather than an isolated initiative.
