Deputy Director, Multi-System Operations
Jill Adams is the Deputy Director of Certificate Programs at CJJR, overseeing and continuously expanding the Center’s portfolio of multi-system trainings in response to the needs of the child-serving field. In her role, Jill works with high-level system leaders to incorporate a holistic, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate approach to serving youth. Jill also contributes to strategic partnerships, field building, and day-to-day management of the Center, with a targeted focus on cross-systems reform and supporting Fellows to advance policy and practice change in jurisdictions across the country.
Prior to managing CJJR’s training portfolio Jill worked across agencies in NYC to develop citywide protocols and improve collaboration and outcomes for dually involved youth, and she is herself a Multi-System Integration Fellow. Before working with CJJR, Jill led the development and operation of legal trainings at a large Continuing Legal Education provider in New York, and her background also includes work with the New York Legal Assistance Group, DC Superior Court, Washington College of Law Criminal Justice Clinic, and Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project.
Jill holds an M.A. in Policy Management from Georgetown and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice and Sociology magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Delaware. She currently lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband, 2 children, and puggle.
