On Wednesday, April 10th, CJJR hosted an international group of judges, prosecutors, and system officials at 125 E St. for a discussion of youth justice reform.

The group was visiting the United States under the auspices of the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, a program hosted by the Institute of International Education.  The program, titled “U.S. Judicial System: Protecting Women and Children,” is engaging these leaders in a three-week tour of the U.S. where they are meeting with various agencies, including the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Justice.

Represented in the group were leaders from Albania, Argentina, the Bahamas, Brunei, Cyprus, Egypt, El Salvador, Fiji, Georgia, India, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Nepal, Norway, Phillipines, Romania, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey.

Special thanks to Cristal and Lauren for helping us arrange space at 125 E. St. for the meeting!
